  Paddle team Kai

  Paddle Team Kai is the Zamami kids SUP Team led and coached by guides from DRIFTER, our associated marine shop.
  Given Zamami's remote island setting without school clubs, adults on the island voluntarily share their experiences and knowledge, teaching kids through sports.
  Some students who started as school students at the creation of Team Kai have grown into accomplished athletes, participating in Japan's national SUP tournament.
  You can witness these kids diligently training and honing their skills with their teammates, grateful for their environment and the unique opportunities Zamami provides.

  Despite Zamami's renowned sea, trash carried by currents, including items from far overseas, can be found.
  Microchips and small broken objects are mistakenly consumed by fishes.
  Beach cleaning is essential not only to preserve the scenery but also to protect marine life and nature.
  Every individual's action can have a positive or negative impact.

  Furuzamami Beach

  Zamami's main beach, bustling with summer visitors and awarded 2 stars in the Michelin Guide.
  A few meters into the water, a splendid view resembling an aquarium unfolds with dynamic shapes created by coral reefs and colorful fishes.
  You can enjoy from the terrace the breath-taking view of the Kerama Blue.

  Amenities include rental shops, stores, toilets, paying showers. Lifeguards during the high season.
  Located just 10 minutes from the hotel, we provide complimentary transportation.

  Ama Beach

  A wide and shallow beach, famous for the opportunity to encounter sea turtles. With the view of two uninhabited islands and Aka Island in the background, it offers a great setting.
  During high tide, sea turtles come to find food around the swimming areas, so it is advisable to keep a respectful distance.
  We also recommend relaxing on the beach.

  The beach features shops, a campsite with toilets and showers, and lifeguards during the high season.
  It takes only 10 minutes by car from the hotel, and we offer complimentary transportation.

  Nishibama Beach

  Aka, our neighboring island's main beach, offers a beautiful view of three shades of blue interweaving.
  There is a roofed terrace for a relaxing sea-watching experience. On the backside, a walking path leads to an observation deck with an open view.

  Gahi Island, situated in front of Ama Beach, features expansive sandy areas and abundant coral formations.
  In our tours, if the tide timing is favorable, we can explore a viewpoint with a lighthouse, venture through a rock tunnel for an adventurous experience, offering various ways for you to enjoy yourself.

  Agenashiku island

  Visible on the left side of Ama Beach, Agenashiku Island is home to wild goats, and you may have the chance to encounter them during a tour.
  When you come by Ferry or Queen Zamami, it is located just before the port entrance, offering a stunning view of the Kerama Blue with beautiful color gradation.
  The surrounding areas feature numerous coral reefs and fish, presenting an astonishing landscape.

  Amuro island

  The largest island we may visit during tours, Amuro Island is surrounded by extensive coral reefs.
  It showcases diverse ecosystems. During low tide, it connects with a sandy patch to the end of Furuzamami Beach and it is visible from the road to Asa Hamlet.
  Although the landscape is magnificent, walking to the island is prohibited, even if a path opens up.

  Shiru

  Facing Amuro Island, Shiru boasts a gradation of Kerama Blue.
  In the Keramas, where coral reefs and sandy patches alternate, we take pride in the large size of our table corals.
  This point, situated between two islands, experiences strong currents. It provides an opportunity to observe fish and corals that thrive in this unique environment.
  Due to the complex tide flow and the presence of numerous crossing boats, swimming on your own is prohibited.

  Located on the northern side and surrounded by rocks, Yuhina offers a truly adventurous ambiance.

  There are also private beaches exclusively accessible by SUP or Kayak, featuring a mythical waterfall that appears only during the rainy season.
  In the summer, you can also enjoy the scenic view of the setting sun from here.

  Uru-no-sachi

  A unique landscape unfolds in Uru-no-sachi. Its shallow waters allow for close observation of corals and clownfish just off the beach.
  As the sun shines, the coral and the fishes sparkle even more. After the spawning season, it becomes famous for fish curtains made from an incalculable number of small fishes.
  Venturing further off the beach, you may even encounter hawksbill turtles, which are rare to observe otherwise.

  While paddleboarding (SUP) on this exceptionally clear sea, you can revel in the splendid nature unfolding before your eyes. As you paddle, enjoy the underwater landscapes beneath you.
  DRIFTER is proud of its guides who have great individualities and actively participate in training sessions for the Zamami kids' SUP team called Kai.

  As you feel closer to the sea surface, synchronize your breaths and reach for your destination.
  Halfway through, take a breath, gaze at the sea surface, and observe some sea turtles gracefully swimming.

  One great part of our day tours is our homemade lunches.
  The tour route and lunches change each day. On one day, you might land on an uninhabited island and have warm soba, and on another, enjoy taco rice at an observation deck. After a day of sea fun, savoring lunch while gazing at the beautiful Kerama Blue under the sky is truly special.

  Sunset SUP

  The sea, which sparkles blue during the day, takes on colorful shades and a calm atmosphere at sunrise and sunset.
  At dawn, paddleboarding in a fantastical environment while watching the sun descend can be a truly magical experience.
  In the tranquil sea, the rising and falling sun is reflected like a mirror.

  Whale-watching

  In the sea the world falls in love with, the whales also feel love. When winter arrives, they return to their village, Zamami, to give birth and nurture their offspring.
  Typically, whale-watching begins at the end of December and continues until mid-April. Our boat, Misaki, can accommodate up to 13 people for observing the whales.
  Many visitors come each year to witness the dynamic movements of the whales and the heartwarming sight of their offspring.
